Derllys Court Golf Club is an 18 hole parkland course situated a mere 4 miles to the west of Carmarthen.
It enjoys easy access from the busy A40 road which is well signposted and a convenient venue for keen golfers.
The course design sees the requirements of golf merging with the quiet beauty of the countryside. Trees and ponds preserve wildlife and the spectacular views enable the exceptional landscape of Carmarthenshire to be appreciated.
Amended Local Rule for relief from trees on the course.
The following local rule is now in play:
If a tree lower than TWO CLUB LENGTHS in height interferes with a player’s stance or the area of his intended swing, the ball MUST be lifted, without penalty, and dropped in accordance with the procedure prescribed in Rule 24-2b (Immovable Obstruction).
Exception: A player may not obtain relief under this Local Rule if (a) it is clearly unreasonable for him to make a stroke because of interference by anything other than the tree or (b) interference by the tree would occur only through use of an unnecessarily abnormal stance, swing or direction of play.
Penalty for breach of local rule:
Match play – Loss of hole; Stroke play – Two strokes
