Clive Jones Seniors Captain 2017/18

SENIORS SECTION

Clive Jones takes over from John Hartley as Captain of the Seniors’ Section for 2017/2018.

The Seniors’ Section has another busy season with 10 rounds of the Dawn Patrol, several other interesting competitions and a new 20/20 competition for 20 plus handicappers running alongside the Dawn Patrol.

In addition we play against seven other clubs, home and away, and have entered two teams in the South Wales Classic.

Last year was our most succesful season winning 12 of our 16 matches including 4 away and Clive hopes that we can keep this up this year but knows that John will be a hard act to follow.

Clive’s chosen charity for the year is Cerebra, a charity based locally in Carmarthen. Cerebra are dedicated to helping families with children with brain conditions discover a better life together. Last year we raised £1,000 for the West Wales Prostate Cancer Support Group and we hope to raise a similar amount for Cerebra this year.
