Newly elected seniors Captain Meirion Evans continued his good winter form by making light work of only being allowed three golf clubs, to record 38 stableford points and take 1st place in the recent Derllys Court seniors “Three Club” event.
Although some way behind, there was a close fight for the remaining prizes with Roy Gallop claiming 2nd place overall with 34 points on countback from Winston John.
John Llewellyn played the front nine holes superbly to record 22 points, including the only 2 of the day, on the 5th hole, but had a disappointing final nine holes. Frank Simmons claimed the final prize with a solid 18 points on the back nine, just pipping Derek Davies on countback.
